MBoSC Dig Days : Give Back to Our Trails
A letter from MBoSC...
Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz (MBoSC) is excited to bring you another great season of trailwork opportunities. We’ve had a long, dry summer, and the trails are showing it. This Fall and Winter we are hosting eleven volunteer trailwork days to tune up our local trails. MBoSC will be working in Wilder Ranch, Soquel Demonstration State Forest, and Pogonip and we need your help!
All are welcome at our workdays, no trailwork experience required. Even if digging is not your thing, we have lots of not-so-strenuous tasks that we can use help with! Bear in mind that work days are weather dependent. Windy and wet weather may produce hazardous conditions, or limit workday productivity. Registration is required for all events, sign up at www.mbosc.org.
We like to keep our volunteers well fed and happy, so expect coffee, lunch, and post workday refreshments.
Enchanted Loop- Wilder Ranch State Park
MBoSC is partnering with California State Parks on a reroute and restoration project at Wilder Ranch State Park this Fall. MBoSC trail staff and volunteers will be working closely with State Parks’ trail crew to decommission a badly eroded and entrenched section of the Enchanted Loop Trail and construct a sustainable reroute bypassing the steep fall line section.

Soquel Demonstration State Forest (SDSF)
MBoSC will not only be returning to work on the wildly popular Flow Trail, but will be collaborating closely with our partners the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) and the Stewards of Soquel Forest to maintain trails throughout the forest on our volunteer days.
