Be Kind to Our Trails — December 6, 2014 Girly Ride Rescheduled
Ladies! This Saturday's Girly Ride has been rescheduled for NEXT Saturday December 13 ... same time ... same place (10am ... our Mission Street store).
Although a sunny weekend is forecast, more rain is on the way tomorrow … and because we advocate for responsible riding, we’re thinking that the right thing to do is stay off the trails while they’re this mucky. (Read more about rainy season riding etiquette here, if you fancy.)
But all is not lost! There’s still some hanging out around mountain bikes folks to be had! We’re all in this together, right? So, instead of pedalling through the puddles, sign up for Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz’s Volunteer Trail Work Day out at scenic Soquel Demonstration State Forest.
Work days include breakfast treats, fun, lunch, fun, post-work refreshments, fun, and raffles … plus did we mention fun? Volunteers will be working on existing trails (including our sponsored segment of the flow trail). What better way to get to know the right lines to ride than getting to clean ‘em up?
Now, back to riding with the gals — hope to see you next Saturday December 13! And if that’s not enough riding for you (of course it’s not!) Come ride with Girls Rock ride on Sunday … details on their Facebook page here.
